Every enquiry: forms, chat, DMs, emails.
Ads plus agency — what you pay to make the phone ring.
Honest average, not your best day. Time from enquiry landing to a human actually replying.
Rings out, engaged, or after hours. Your phone system knows — ask it.
Industry average is 3–5%. Top performers run 10–15%.
Most sales close after the fifth attempt. Most businesses stop at one.
Your untapped annual revenue
A year, sitting in the gap between an enquiry arriving and your business doing something about it.

Gap 01 · Speed to lead
The response-time gap
——
Share of the achievable conversion each response band captures. The Harvard Business Review audit put the average B2B response at 42 hours; MIT/InsideSales found a lead contacted within 5 minutes is 21x more likely to qualify than one contacted at 30 minutes.
How to close this gap with AI
- Put a speed-to-lead agent on every form. Enquiry lands, agent replies inside 30 seconds — by SMS and email, in your voice, with a real question in it.
- Qualify in the conversation, not in a queue. The agent asks what your salespeople ask, then books the live ones straight into the calendar.
- Escalate the hot ones to a human immediately. Your people stop chasing and start closing the ones already talking.
Gap 02 · After-hours coverage
The hours you're dark
——
—
How to close this gap with AI
- Run an after-hours agent — Amber — from close to open. Nights, weekends, public holidays. The 8:40pm enquiry gets an 8:40pm answer.
- Let it book, not just reply. Live calendar access means the customer is in your diary before they open the next tab.
- Hand over a briefed lead at 9am. Your team starts the day with conversations already had, not a backlog already cold.
Gap 03 · Missed-call leakage
The calls that ring out
——
—
How to close this gap with AI
- Missed-call text-back, within seconds. "Sorry we missed you — what did you need?" arrives before they've dialled the next number. 62% of callers won't leave a voicemail; all of them read a text.
- Answer the reply with an agent, not an autoresponder. The conversation continues until it's booked or genuinely dead.
- Route the urgent ones to a live mobile. Emergencies still reach a human — everything else gets handled without one.
Gap 04 · Database reactivation
The leads you already paid for
——
—
How to close this gap with AI
- Reignite the dormant file. One-to-one SMS conversations with every unconverted lead you've ever paid for — not a broadcast, a conversation.
- Persist to five touches and beyond. Polite, spaced, opt-out honoured, until there's an answer either way.
- Feed the closes back to the ad platforms. A signal that says this person paid beats ten thousand that say this person clicked.

So what now?
Every one of those four gaps is a machine problem — which is the good news, because machines don't sleep, don't let calls ring out, and don't stop at follow-up number one. Nothing above needs a transformation project. It needs someone to pick up.
Bring this page to a call and we'll pressure-test the inputs with you, then tell you which single gap to close first. Usually it's the cheapest one to fix, not the biggest one on the page.
How we model this
No black box. Every figure on this page comes from the inputs you typed and the constants below — all of it computed in your browser, none of it sent anywhere until you ask us to email it.
- Annual leads = leads per month × 12. Current annual revenue = annual leads × your conversion rate × your average sale.
- Speed-to-lead gap. Each response band captures a share of what a five-minute reply captures:
≤5 min 100% · 15 min 90% · 30 min 80% · 1 hr 75% · 4 hrs 70% · 24 hrs 45% · slower 30%. The gap is what your band leaves on the table against the five-minute target. - After-hours gap. HubSpot's data has 52% of enquiries landing outside standard business hours; we scale that by how much of the week you're actually closed. Of those, we treat 42.1% as lost to the wait — our audit average for enquiries that sit until the office opens.
- Missed-call leakage. Unanswered calls × 52 weeks × your average sale = demand at risk. We split it 60% recoverable with an instant text back, 40% gone regardless. 62% of callers won't leave a voicemail — they dial the next number.
- Database reactivation. Unconverted leads a year × a reactivation rate set by your follow-up depth (
1 attempt 4.0% · 2: 3.4% · 3: 2.8% · 4: 2.2% · 5+: 1.6%) × your average sale. Fewer attempts means more left in the file. - The headline total is the four gaps added up, minus a 10.2% overlap discount — the same enquiry can be slow, after-hours and a missed call, and we won't count one job three times.
- Every dollar figure on this page is rounded down. The model doesn't get to flatter itself.
The honest caveat. These are modelled numbers, not banked ones. Cut them in half. Cut them to a third. It's still the biggest line item in the business, and it's the only one with no invoice attached. Rent gets invoiced. Wages get invoiced. Slow just quietly bleeds.
